I’ve removed all accounts that showed no sign of being updated or used within the past 3 months since our major conversion. There’s still some cleanup work I have to complete before it’s all done though.
There is a possibility I may have deleted some by mistake or other, but don’t worry there’s a solution to that.
Re-register. And if you had submitted designs or avatars just tell me which ones they are and I’ll attach them to your new user account without any problems whatsoever.

I find this most inefficient – you could have pruned the members with no submissions, but leave those who have submitted in the past because some people, well, just don’t visit the site on such a regular basis, but their effort still counts.
Actually, I just need *one* design or avatar to track down original designers ID to track down the rest.
I pruned based on visits, cause that’s how one normally prunes. Also, as previously stated 6 months back the conversion left the database faulty on various areas. Such as who has submitted how much. How can I prune based on that, if the information is wrong?

Yes, there’s nothing wrong with recreating your account. Nothing at all.
mm, it’s just a bummer to me since I’ve been a member here for what? 5? 6 years? I can’t remember… and had submitted a lot of stuff.
I know. The were however only two alternatives available. We could either wipe and start everything from scratch, or do a large prune. The prune felt less damaging.

Yeah, thanks a lot of that. Some of us have been members since the site started. My life does not revolve around DDG. This site has really gone down hill since Snow stopped managing it, which is actually why I don’t visit as much as I used to. I’d actually go so far as to say I hate it now. You all have made a mess of this site.
I’m not saying your life has to evolved around DDG. I would think that of as rather unhealthy. We did however, have a problem with space and system and made a choice based on that.
Yeah.. there is a problem with reregstiering. Some of us (like myself) were members since 2004 and took our join date as a point of pride. This is bullshit. Luckily I only come to this site to look at your (better) affiliates
In my eyes a person has equal value whether registered today or 5 years ago.
